CHANEL5

A portrait in five scenes

Coco Chanel receives world-famous personalities from the worlds of art and politics at her villa “Respiro”, where she passionately creates revolutionary fashion that remains iconic to this day. She finances Igor Stravinsky’s adaptation of Sacré du Printemps and is friends with Dali, Picasso, Modigliani and many other bohemians. She collaborates with the Nazis, is arrested and is released only thanks to her friendship with Winston Churchill. She drinks champagne only in two situations: when she is in love and when she is not!
This entertaining and inspiring one-woman play lasts about an hour and is combined with a small exhibition and a champagne aperitif. It invites the audience to feel like a guest in one of Coco Chanel’s most famous villas for a short while.
